Thanksgiving with the Scotts

Forget December...I'm still wondering where November went!!??  Seriously, the past two months have flown by...I guess having 1 free weekend without being away or having visitors since November has kept us a bit busy!  But, we really love (and thrive) on having a full schedule.

After Miles' adoption, we were home two days and then back on the road to Auburn! This is the first time (if I remember correctly) that we were able to be with my Dad's family in AL for Thanksgiving since 2006.  That was our last fall in TN before Luke and I graduated, and we moved to PA in the Spring of 2007.  Anyway, we were excited to finally be back with the Scotts after such a long hiatus! I would be remiss to not mention our PA family with whom we celebrated Thanksgiving while living there.  Three out of four years, we had Thanksgiving with the Longs while living in Hershey, and we also miss that tradition.  Now, if we could just figure out how to participate in both...hmm, that could take some work!

Anyhow, we had some beautiful weather in Memphis this November so I had to throw in a couple of non-Thanksgiving pics...

Ah, and now for Thanksgiving.  This is one of my favorite views...Lake Martin.  We stayed at my Dad and Step-mom's lake house while we were in town for Thanksgiving...only about a 25 min drive to the farm.  It was beautiful with the changing leaves!

Down at the farm...the boys' first time here!

the fire burns the entire weekend, day and night

just a small glimpse at the ridiculous amount of food...that doesn't even include the dessert table!

I think the boys spent more time playing on this Barbie jeep than anything else! Miles would just walk up to it, push the "radio" button, and promptly begin dancing. Hilarious!

I mean, seriously, he is one smitten kitten!

 Friday night post-Thanksgiving tradition...BOWLING!

We had a great weekend, although it seemed like a quick visit overall.
It was so good to be back with all of the Scotts at the farm.

  1. Okay, so I loved all of the pics... But miles after he ate is the best. That sums up thanksgiving for everyone! Hilarious. Looks like a great time!
